Virtus Registry is an American provenance and market intelligence platform covering diamonds, precious metals, and critical minerals. The platform operates two connected systems: a commodity registry that issues permanent, verifiable provenance passports for physical assets, and an intelligence desk that publishes composite pricing, the VDR-RDI rough diamond index, and The Provenance, our twice-monthly publication.
The registry spans five commodity classes: VDR (diamonds), VGR (gold), VPR (platinum), VSR (silver) and VCR (critical minerals). Every registered asset carries its origin, chain-of-custody and verification record, sealed with a cryptographic fingerprint that makes any alteration detectable. The intelligence desk draws on a 62-source network organized in a five-tier data hierarchy, from direct producer data down to composite estimates, documented in full in our methodology.
African commodities move global markets, yet the reference prices, the indices and the provenance records around them have always been produced somewhere else. A Botswana-origin diamond is priced in Antwerp, benchmarked in New York, and certified through paperwork its buyer can never independently interrogate. Virtus Registry was built to close that gap: an institutional-grade registry and intelligence desk with African provenance at its center, published to the standard American institutions expect, and priced so a working analyst can afford it.
